Hasir - Kreuzberg

Ok, some history: Hasir is said to be the place where the Döner Kebab was invented in the 70s. Or it was more like the modern version of it... served in a bread. Before that it was only served on plates as far as the ledgend goes...

Nowdays the Hasir empire consists of 6 more upperclass turkish barbecue houses some with an additional Döner window (like this one here in Kreuzberg). But the Döner is not what it should be just by looking at the history and the place itself (the spit is HUGE). The restaurant look nice and fancy but the Döner is simply shit.

The meat is just minced meat version of the original Yaprak Döner. The salat is alright - fresh. But the taste itself is just too simple, too random for a Dönerplace with a history like that. Plus it seems to be way overpriced for what it really is.

2.5/5
